Try: Annual salary=60000, Hours per week=40, Weeks per year=52 → $60,000, $29/hr, $5,000, $1,154, $2,308, $2,500

How to use

Enter your gross annual salary and your typical hours per week and weeks per year. Press Calculate — everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded. The result shows your hourly rate and the common pay periods side by side.

This is handy before a job interview or when comparing a salary offer with an hourly contract. A $60,000 salary at 40 hours a week works out to about $28.85 an hour.

FAQ

How many weeks per year should I use?

Most full-time jobs use 52 weeks and 40 hours, which is 2,080 hours a year. If you get paid for holidays or take unpaid time off, adjust the weeks or hours to match your real schedule.

Why does my hourly rate matter more than the salary?

The hourly figure shows what your time is worth and makes it easy to compare a salary job with a contract or hourly role. It also exposes whether "overtime" is fairly paid.
