FAQ

How many weeks per year should I use?

Most full-time jobs use 52 weeks and 40 hours, which is 2,080 hours a year. If you get paid for holidays or take unpaid time off, adjust the weeks or hours to match your real schedule.

Why does my hourly rate matter more than the salary?

The hourly figure shows what your time is worth and makes it easy to compare a salary job with a contract or hourly role. It also exposes whether "overtime" is fairly paid.
